Why we grow it

Mixed cornflower brings bright blue, pink, and white blooms to the cool-season garden. The flowers are edible, and cut stems look at home in a jar on the table.

Direct sow as soon as the soil can be worked. Thin the seedlings and cut blooms while they are partly open for the vase.
